Lawmaker supports launching of school

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Third District Representative Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. said Thursday he is fully supporting the plan for a separate high school for Barangay Panipuan from the current Panipuan Integrated School.
This came as Panipuan Integrated School principal Carina Tarenio bared plans for the launching of a full high school here with its own principal and administrative functions.
“The move will ensure that we will have a high school that is managed to its fullest potentials for development. This in turn will ensure that the high school here will be given enough administrative attention,” Gonzales said.
However, Terenio said the school is still in need of additional facilities like school buildings, a bigger covered court, and the massive fencing of the school property, to better address the growing population of the school each year.
Terenio said with the separation of the high school, there would be additional needs for facilities and classroom furnishings.
Gonzales, for his part, said he will address the needs of the school and has committed to help in the infrastructure needs of the said school.
He said he will help in the fencing of the school and allocation of funds for new buildings.
“I will also be allotting 200 scholars here in the coming school year so that more students will have the chance to study and contribute to the overall population of the school,” Gonzales said. (Ian Ocampo Flora)
