SUBIC Bay Freeport: Singaporian firm Keppel Philippines announced it would expand its facilities in Subic and Batangas due to high demand for ship repairs.
Reports said that Keppel is in advance stages of its proposal to expand its operation in both location with the Board of Investments.
The company is more on ship repair rather that building.,officials say that market for new ship are declining while demand on repair, maintenance and operation for existing ships is growing.
Keppel Subic located in Subic town is one of the largest drydock in the Philippines while it facility in Batangas has more than 30 years experience in ship repair.
Details of the expansion project will be made public very soon, a report said.
