Chamber to donate another building to Porac school

PORAC — The Angeles City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. is set to donate another building to Babo Pangulo Elementary School in this town.
On Thursday afternoon, AC Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. executive Johnson Dycaico, who hails from Barangay Sta. Cruz, Porac, was accompanied by Mayor Condralito Dela Cruz, Vice-Mayor Dexter David, barangay and school officials, together with members of the Parent-Teachers Association, in inspecting the site where the building will rise.
“This school building, worth about P400,000, is actually the seventh we will build in Porac. The others of similar type which have been formally turned over to school and DepEd [Department of Education] are in barangays Manibaug, Sta. Cruz, Pio, Calzara, Paralaya and Planas where there are two school buildings,” Dycaico told Sun.Star Pampanga.
He said the chamber hopes to start construction of the school building at the most by next week, as soon as other school buildings in Magalang are completed.
Babo Pangulo Elementary School principal Gild Fernandez welcomed the chamber’s upcoming donation, as she said: “The two additional classrooms will be of great relief for us and our students since we expect a bigger enrollment this coming school year from our present 393 student population.”
For their part, Mayor Dela Cruz and Vice-Mayor David thanked Dycaico and the chamber for their continuing partnership with the local government unit.
“The Fil-Chinese Chamber has been a long-time partner of the Municipal Government, especially in our advocacy for quality education. We thank them so much for supporting us, our educators and students in providing for essential learning infrastructure,” said the officials.
