Mayor: Development plan on track

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan reported on Thursday that his administration is on track in its development plans for the city stressing that some of his campaign promises to Angelenos have now been realized.

Pamintuan, during his regular breakfast meeting with media men, said that his regular barangay day have benefited a total of 57, 455 beneficiaries from their medical and dental missions from 2010 to the first half of 2012.

“We have not been off-track from our service to Angelenos. We are not distracted by the political noise as evidence by our continuous programs and events for Angelenos. On an average we attend some five major events for the city in a day,” Pamintuan said.

Pamintuan said that the Renal Care Unit (RCU) of the city was able to serve a total of 170 end stage renal disease patients (ESRD) since July 2011 to July 2012. A total of 5, 248 hemodialysis treatments were also given since the establishment of the RCU.

“Our public hospital was also able to serve about 185,072 patients and still counting,” Pamintuan said, stressing that his office, the Ospital Ning Angeles and various barangay halls have served some 44, 433 beneficiaries in free medicines.

Pamintuan was also able to institutionalize the City College of Angeles (CCA), offering market-driven courses catering to indigent student Angeleños who wish to continue their education.

The mayor said the school now offers Computer Science, Information System and Tourism courses with 376 spread into nine sections with 85 students of which are scholars.

The mayor said t they will also be launching the health program here by the end of the month that will cater to other indigent patients from different parts of the city.
