No alliance between Lazatin, Nepomuceno yet

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — There is no “formal alliance” between first district Representative Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin and former mayor and congressman-wannabe Francis Nepomuceno, said Irish Calaguas, Lazatin’s senior political adviser.
“There will be no political alliance. That’s for sure as of the moment. But we have our supporters in the Nepomuceno camp and theirs on our side,” she stressed.

“Rep. Tarzan is moving on as planned. But he is still focused on his work in the first district as there are several months more before his term ends and that’s what we are focusing on now,” said Calaguas.
Meanwhile, “Thank You!” was the quick and simple reaction of the camp of Lazatin on Nepomuceno’s vow to support the lawmaker’s mayoralty bid for Angeles City.
In earlier interviews, Nepomuceno manifested his interest to run for Congress again in 2013 and slug it out with strong contender incumbent Vice Governor Joseller Guiao.
His vow of support for Lazatin came shortly after reports that Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan and 28 of 34 Angeles City village chiefs pledged to back Guiao in his congressional bid.
