Lazatin told: Go back to work

ANGELES CITY—City Administrator Dennis Albert Pamintuan has called on the Lazatin camp “to return to work” instead of engaging in a useless media tit-for-tat and hair-splitting over inconsequential issues that only irritates the public.
“I repeat my call to Congressman Lazatin to go back to Congress, and resume his work as our representative. He may be serving his last year in government service, and he should cap it with honor instead of disgracing himself with pathetic publicity stunts,” Pamintuan said.
He also advised Lazatin to give Robledo Sanchez, a tabloid stringer, a good lawyer because the graft case he filed against Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan over the hiring of job order workers “is destined for the trashing” for lack of substance.
He added the Pamintuan camp will no longer answer any issue related to the job order workers since the case is already in court.
“We will just face each other in court,” he added.
Meanwhile, Partido Abe Kapampangan (PAK) deputy secretary general William Aguilar dismissed Sanchez’s dare to bring out all the city job order workers in a rally as childish.
“They have work to do, unlike during the time of Lazatin,” Aguilar said.
About a thousand job order workers rallied in protest last week over charges of Lazatin, through Sanchez, that their hiring has been irregular.
“It would be a pity if the 25 years that Lazatin has been in politics, which he describes as ‘outstanding service to the people’, will end up with a bad taste in the mouth and bitter defeat,” Pamintuan said.
Pamintuan added that Lazatin may no longer be his old self, as he allowed himself to be part of “charades” staged by his handlers, including the “staged filing of his certificate of candidacy” and, a few days ago, his pitiful pose for the benefit of the photographers that showed him waiting for the job order rallyists in his office in Barangay Telebastagan, City of San Fernando.
The rally was held instead at Plaza Miranda street in Angeles City.
Based on records of the Commission on Elections, Lazatin silently filed his CoC on October 4 but re-enacted it on October 5 for the benefit of media.
“We are no longer inclined to answer all the inanities coming from the Lazatin camp just for media mileage. We challenge them to come up with substantial issues, or simply shut up. We are now beginning to look like comedians whose antics are no longer amusing,” Pamintuan said.
“Irish Calaguas should realize that instead of propping up her boss, she is demeaning him as if he were some kind of zombie that she is pitting in ridiculous away-bata,” Pamintuan added.
Calaguas is Lazatin’s chief of staff and media handler.
