ABE party to village dad: Issue sworn statement

ANGELES CITY–The Partido Abe Kapampangan challenged Barangay Northwest Councilman William David and wife, Irene David, to issue affidavit swearing to their statements relative to the issue of Angeles City Government Job Orders (JOs) “if they really believe on their information.”
“Nakakatawa naman talaga si Kagawad William David at ang kanyang asawa. Puro lang sila salita pero wala naman silang pinapakitang dokumento nila na nagsasabing pinanumpaan nila ang kanilang mga alegasyon. Ang katotohanan ay walang tinatayuang ligal na batayan ang kanilang mga sinasabi. Maski ang kanilang mga dokumento ay puro photocopies o xerox lamang at alam natin na ito ay mahahalintulad lamang sa isang pirasong papel na pwedeng ipambalot ng tinapa,” said William Aguilar, ABE deputy secretary general.
“Malinaw naman po na ang kanilang ginagawa ay bahagi lamang ng isang sistematikong plano ni Congressman Carmelo ‘Tarzan’ Lazatin upang manira at magsagawa ng iba’t-ibang uri ng black propaganda kabilang na ang pagsisinungaling upang mapagtakpan ang tunay nilang anyo. Niloloko nila ang mga Angelenyo,” Aguilar added.
The ABE party also branded as “ridiculous” the challenge of Councilman David to Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan to present all 2,506 job order personnel at Plaza Miranda.
“Wala na pong matinong sinasabi ang kanilang kampo. Salita na lang ng salita na halatang hindi na pinag-isipang mabuti. Ang mga job order personnel ng city government ay mga taong may dignidad at naaasahan sa paglilingkod sa mamamayan ng Angeles City . Hindi sila mga bilanggong convicted ng krimen na ipapahilera na lamang sa isang lugar upang bilangin dahil lamang sa kagustuhan ni Kagawad David o ng kanyang boss na si Tarzan Lazatin,” Aguilar stated.
The ABE party advised David and 3 other councilmen to “contemplate on the issue at hand by finding out if the documents presented to them are true or merely forged papers.”
“They should examine the documents presented to them. Then they should be direct in their sworn statements. Likewise, they should be ready to face the consequences of their actions. Let us not forget that perjury or forswearing is not allowed, and is a criminal offense,” Aguilar said.
Perjury is defined as the wilful act of swearing a false oath or affirmation to tell the truth, whether spoken or in writing, concerning matters material to a judicial proceeding.
That is, the witness falsely promises to tell the truth about matters which affect the outcome of the case. It is considered as a serious offense. ● (Press Release)
