Mayor to prioritize road upgrades

ANGELES CITY — Mayor Edgardo “EdPam” Pamintuan said Tuesday his administration’s priority now is the repair and upgrading of roads particularly those leading to the new City College.
During the regular “Kapihan with EdPam,” the mayor said it is of outmost importance that vital roads leading to the City College which is under construction and nearing completion, be repaired and upgraded as classes in schools open in June.
“Our priority now is the repair of roads and avenues leading to the City College. Masyado ng maraming sira at bako-bako pa. The estimated pedestrian traffic in such roads like Kalayaan and Arayat is around 4,000 per day. Kahit malinis ang paligid doon ay nagko-cause ng inconvenience ang mga daan sa ating mga motorist at mamamayan,” he said.
Pamintuan added that such roads, including those in nearby vicinities like Lourdes North West, would be included in the planned priority repairs and upgrades.
“We have allotted about P30 million for the road repairs in these neglected areas. The work plan also includes construction of drainage systems and other related infrastructure to address the concern. This is of utmost importance and needs urgent attention,” said Pamintuan.
