World-class resort targets Kapampangan market

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –- A world-class resort in Manila is now targeting the Kapampangan market after its research shows that the Pampanga’s economy is continuously moving up.

Resort World Manila (RWM) Assistant Manager for Sales Lulu Dalisay-Tamayo said they have chosen Pampanga for the initial launching of “Special Bus Program” because of the rich culture of the Kapampangans that manifests openness in terms of entertainment innovations.

Lulu-Dalisay also noted that the province could be a good source of both local and foreign tourists.

“Alam namin kung saan ipoposisyon ang aming produkto. Kapag natuloy ‘yung mga plano sa airport at ‘yung plano ni MVP (businessman Manny V. Pangilinan) ay nakaposisyon na kami,” she said.

Ana Chua, RWM sales manager, said that under the “Special Bus Program,” Kapampangan can now travel conveniently by boarding Resort World Manila-bound buses in the pick-up points located at the McDonalds branch in Barangy Dau in Mabalacat town and McDonalds branch in O.G. Road in this city every 8 a.m.

Passengers from Pampanga who wish to avail themselves of the ride going to RWM may get a round-trip ticket for only P550 for those boarding in Dau and P500 for those from the City of San Fernando.

Special trips and schedules for group or corporate arrangements are also entertained upon request.

RWM houses three grand hotels in its compound for those who want to spend days for complete entertainment.

It also showcases a word class entertainment including “The Edge of Glory” variety show at Bar 360 this July featuring top international acts in music and acrobats.

Stylist cinemas, arcade center, game zoo and shopping complex that sells international brands in the world are also available at RWM.

Upcoming events include Festival Royale in August, all Filipino production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Immortal “The King and I” at the Newport Performing Center on September 15 and the Yuletide celebrations of Grand Fiesta Manila.

Environment office lauds Iglesia for tree planting
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –- The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro) lauded the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) leadership in the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga for conducting a tree planting activity over the weekend.

Leovino Ignacio, chief of Penro Pampanga, said that more than 3,000 banaba seedlings were planted by the INC brethrens spearheaded by its District Supervising Minister Manuel Soriano.

“Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa mga kapatid nating Iglesia Ni Cristo dahil sa kanilang malasakit sa ating kalikasan. Consistent po sila sa mga ganitong tree planting activity na sinimulan pa nila noong nakaraang taon,” Ignacio said.

The tree planting activity was held along the three-kilometer stretch of Mega Dike starting from Barangay Manibaug Porac town.

The Penro chief also said that they are looking forward for the continuous commitment of the Iglesia Ni Cristo in its environmental protection advocacy.

“Malaking tulong ito sa ating probinsiya dahil makikita naman ang pagkakaisa ng mga kapatid nating Iglesia. Kapag sila ang kumilos sama-sama,” Ignacio added.

The activity was participated by the INC Christian Family Organizations like Buklod (for married members), Kadiwa (single members aging 18 and above) and Binhi (members who are under 18 years old and below).

Aside from these groups, the Society of Communicators’ and Networkers (Scan) from the ten clusters in the province of Pampanga also joined the said activity.
